Once again I intend recording and displaying rainfall data using Google documents as the source. It is useful in the sense that once the author has entered the daily rainfall in the Google spreadsheet it became available for display here. |

Rainfall Charts for 2010Charts from Google spreadsheet
This 2010 record of Hope Valley Rainfall follows the successful experiment in 2009 of quickly displaying rainfall data using Google documents as the source. It was very successful in the sense that once the author had entered the daily rainfall in the Google spreadsheet it became available for display here. The end result was not as pretty as the more tedious use of Open Office although that was superior to Excel in ease of production.

Has the season broken?Yesterday (23 April 2009) saw steady, soaking rainfall for most of the day. More is forecast over the next few days. Is this the break from dry weather for which we have all been hoping? At 9am today I measured 25.5mm of rain from yesterday. This is an excellent beginning. |

Rainfall Charts for 2009Charts from Google spreadsheet
This is a further experiment in quickly displaying rainfall data. It relies upon charts generated by a Google spreadsheet. This should be much easier as it only requires one to enter the data and the visitor can access the data and charts with no further effort by the person who enters the data. The other system using data and charts from Open Office, while providing much better looking charts, takes a lot of work preparing and uploading. This system will be used in place of the older one as it is much easier. The old one will remain incomplete. |
